About begonia.

After years spent cooking in California and Arizona, Chef Christopher Lund came to Madison to build something of his own: a place rooted in family, community, and the kind of hospitality that brings people back again and again. He runs begonia. alongside Sara Anderson, his mother-in-law, a Madison native with deep ties to the neighborhood and the city it’s part of.

The menu reflects that journey. Christopher draws on the bold flavors of Latin America and the Southwest, then brings them together with the seasons and ingredients of the Midwest. The food is vibrant, thoughtful, and meant to be shared.

Our Dining Room & Bar

With just 36 seats, begonia. is intentionally intimate. Some guests stop in for a drink or a few plates. Others settle in for the evening. Either way, we want it to feel like a place you’ll want to come back to.
